Welcome 2008

New Years was started with fireworks and a ship, nothing unusual, seeing as this was my 7th New Year’s on a ship. However this new years was unlike any of the previous ones, no babysitting, no drunken passengers, no free champagne being passed around, no late night hallway parties, I could go on. But I didn’t miss any of it. I had the best time on board the HOPE in Kiel, Germany. We are docked in the heart of the city and fireworks are legal here. As the clock stuck midnight fireworks of red, green, yellow, blue, could be seen shooting off in every direction. It was like a special show just for us, 360 degrees of color to light up the dark sky. Despite freezing fingers and noses, we stayed on top of deck 9 for about 30 minutes before heading down stairs for a Scottish Ceilidh.

Here's PST CUXHAVEN celebrating New Years with some sparkling cider and good friends!

I’m excited to see what glorious and amazing things are in store for the New Year. I’m pretty sure God has some crazy stuff up his sleeve for us!
